Unfortunately, there aren’t any official The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan Update 1.09 Patch Notes. However, the PS4 system states in its update history that the patch “Fixes various bugs”. We have also been informed by Bandai Namco that this day one patch fixes a lot of technical issues the game has suffered from before launch, including frame rate drops and stuttering.

Our review highlighted some of these issues and I personally found them to be quite egregious. However, I have played through the game since The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan Update 1.09 Patch Notes have been released and the game runs a lot smoother, only hitching periodically, rather than often.

You can read an excerpt of the issues we experienced below. Our full review can be read here.

More egregious are the technical hiccups that plague Man of Medan. On several occasions the frame rate dips horrendously, leading to some jerky movements in both cutscenes and gameplay. It’s not frequent enough to become a major issue, but nonetheless leads to some frustrating, immersion-breaking moments that hinder your experience.

Man of Medan’s launch trailer gives you a spooky brief of what is on offer when you pick up the game. The second title in the anthology series has already been revealed, in a teaser showcased at the end of Man of Medan during particular endings.

The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan is available on August 30, 2019, for PS4. The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan Update 1.09 Patch Notes are also available on August 30, 2019.
