Eastshade, a beautiful open world adventure that released on PC earlier this year to rapturous acclaim, is now set to release on PS4 next month from developer/publisher Eastshade Studios.
The news of Eastshade’s forthcoming release on PS4 and Xbox One comes after the game was rated in Europe just last month, providing something of a sure fire indication that we would see the game sooner rather than later.
Due to arrive on PS4 and Xbox One on October 21, Eastshade puts players in the shoes of a traveling painter on the idyllic and titular island of Eastshade, tasking them with uncovering secrets of the people that live there in addition to reaching long forgotten places that have remained untouched by humankind for centuries.
A first-person narrative adventure in the same sort of style as Dear Esther and What Remains of Edith Finch, it certainly seems to be a much more relaxed first person narrative adventure than the horror tinged lot we’ve had lately. What do you guys think though? Are you looking forward to exploring the vast, tranquil spaces of Eastshade when it arrives next month? Let us know in the comments!
Until then, you can catch the official blurb and trailer for Eastshade below:
“You are a traveling painter, exploring the island of Eastshade. Capture the world on canvas using your artist’s easel. Talk to the inhabitants to learn about their lives. Make friends and help those in need. Discover mysteries and uncover secrets about the land. Surmount natural impasses to reach forgotten places. Experience how your actions impact the world around you.
