There’s yet another Battle Royale game in the works – huzzah! This one is called Spellbreak and it’s being developed by Proletariat Studio.
This multiplayer-focused RPG focuses on magic combat and the artwork bears an uncanny resemblance to Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Featuring 11 different classes with unique abilities, Spellbreak is currently in pre-alpha with no release date as yet.
Much different from the likes of PUBG, Apex Legends and Fortnite, Spellbreak instead takes on a light fantasy setting that makes it much more suitable for younger gamers than those aforementioned titles.
There is also a much greater emphasis on teamworking, too – there is no ‘I’ in team, after all.
SpellBreak PS4 release?
Spellbreak is launching on PC and the developer has not released any games for PS4 in the past. However, like many other PC games that have crossed over to console, its PS4 release will almost certainly depend on its initial success.
Either way, we wouldn’t expect that Spellbreak is coming to PS4 for a long time yet.
