We still have a few months before the Polymega releases to the public, but the team behind this product keep sweetening the pot before launch.
Polymega’s free pack-in games
To give a little background, the Polymega does not play games directly from the cartridge or disc. Instead, the device creates an ISO file that it then loads onto the build-in hard drive. So, all games will live on your hard drive, whether you purchase them from Polymega’s online store or install them from your discs at home.
Fun fact: The Polymega’s storage capacity can be expanded to 3 terabytes. That’s a lot of retro action.
For those of us repping PlayStation 1, we have a total of seven games coming along with the Base Unit. Those include:
- 40 Winks (PS1 – NA Version)
- Viper (PS1-PAL Version)
- Iron Commando (SNES – NA Version)
- アイアンコマンドー 鋼鉄の戦士 Iron Commando (SFC)
- トップレーサー Top Racer (SFC)
- Battle Squadron (Genesis)
- Rescue: The Embassy Mission (NES – NA Version)
This list gives a flavor of a bunch of different consoles right from the get-go. The other three modules have their own lists of games, those modules being for the Nintendo Entertainment System, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and the Mega Drive/Genesis, respectively.

As of this publication, the free games that Polymega intends to include with the fourth module, the PC-Engine, are still under determination. Once that list finally arrives, we’ll be sure to get this post updated for your viewing pleasure.
