Infuse Studio has super-glued a November 1 release date to upcoming PlayStation 4 adventurer Spirit of the North. To celebrate the news, the developer has also polished off a new gameplay trailer for the game, so you can see how it’s shaping up following its reveal last year.

Spirit of the North follows an ordinary red fox who crosses path with a female spirit fox, who happens to be the Guardian of the Northern Lights.
Set on the evocative landscapes of Iceland, and plucks inspiration from Nordic folklore. However, Spirit of the North differs from conventional adventure games in that it has now dialogue or narrative, with players free to soak up the atmosphere while solving puzzles and attempting to discover the mysteries behind a lost ancient civilization.

With the help of your new companion, shed light on the ruins of the past and overcome obstacles. Traverse tundra, glaciers, and mountain sides as you follow a foreboding scarlet trail that paints the sky.
Play as an ordinary red fox who’s story becomes entwined with the guardian of the Northern Lights, a female spirit fox. As you journey over the mountains and under red stained skies you’ll discover more about your companion and a land left in ruin.
Spirit of the North is a timed-exclusive for the PS4, and will roll out for the PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One at a later date. Right now, the game is only confirmed for a digital launch via the PlayStation Store, but there’s a chance it may see a physical release at some point.
According to an FAQ on the game’s official website, Spirit of the North will take players around eight hours to complete.
