This week’s Japanese video game releases are highlighted by Daemon X Machina for Switch and eFootball PES 2020 for PlayStation 4.
Developed by Marvelous First Studio, Daemon X Machina is a fast-paced mech action game from Armored Core 2 and 3 producer Kenichiro Tsukuda with character designs by Yusuke Kozaki and mech designs by Shouji Kawamori. In it, players can customize their own mech with an array of options and weapons to clear an array of missions to defend the planet from corrupted machines.
eFootball PES 2020 is the latest entry in Konami’s annual Pro Evolution Soccer series, rebranded eFootball to symbolize its focus on eSports competition. It includes a remastered version of Master League, a new mode called Matchday, an overhauled visual identity for in-game menus, and “numerous significant changes” to game mechanics and techniques.
