Nintendo has revealed that Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is in development for Nintendo Switch.
After taking hold of an ancient sword that grants its wielder foresight, young hero Shulk and his childhood friend Reyn set out to destroy the Mechon that attacked their colony.
That revenge mission saw Monolith Soft’s expansive RPG receive critical praise for its seamless exploration, engrossing story, and innovative combat when it first released on Wii back in 2011.
Now it will be reborn on the portable home console, with a remake that appears to have been recreated with the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 engine and have previously cut content.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2020.
