Square Enix and Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics have recently been talking up Marvel’s Avengers. At this year’s New York Comic Con many new tidbits of information were revealed including our previously reported news about Kamela Khan joining the team of playable characters. This news was also revealed with a new trailer which gives us our best look at the game’s plot so far and it has certainly piqued our interest.
Marvel Avengers Story Length
In a recent interview with Comicbook.com Crystal Dynamics Senior Brand Director Rich Briggs gave us an insight into how longs the game’s story will take to complete.
“I think it’ll depend on exactly how deep you want to go into it. So if you think about previous Crystal games, you know that if you want to be playing your way through the core story, it’s going to be in that area, 10 to 12 hours. But if you want to see everything there is, and do all the side missions and everything else, you’re generally looking at 30 plus hours in the Tomb Raider games.”
This is just the single-player side of things as the multiplayer component seems to be completely separate. So players’ mileage will vary depending on how much multiplayer they play and what they want to get out of the experience. It has been confirmed by Crystal Dynamics that more Avengers are on the way and the game will see more content released in 2020.
Costumes and Cosmetics
Included below is a video posted by IGN. It shows some of the unlockable costumes for each of the Avengers and some of their finishing attacks. It is nice to see alternate looks for some of our favourite hero’s and it also means there are additional things to unlock while you are playing.
